good topic. the only complaint that i have is that i can't see the screen too well in the video. since your rehearsal, have you added any other theories to your project? you begin with the one quote about gossip, and then insert the four types later on in your presentation (you should analyze these and talk about them more). i'd be interested to know if any of the women involved with feministing.com or the friday f-you's would agree/disagree with your claim. try the message boards. see what people say. any videos there that fit with your topic?

Suggestions:
For your presentation I would find the most dynamic, awe inspiring material you have found really wow and shock the audience...I would play on and utilize that
"Fuck you" stuff...it will really grab your audience's attention, and I think that is what you need here...Also, I am missing your so what factor...I would like to see a quick review of the feminist movement in history and how that leads up to feminists' space on the internet, and how gossip fuels this space for communication--I take it that is what you are getting at

You show a real passion for your topic and that is the first step in having a good presentation. I think it would help if you made a Power Point with the quotes you discuss. Also, maybe you could communicate with the girls on the website to see what they could offer your project. I like that you had a lot of material from Jenkins to contribute to your theory. I know you know that you need to work on the conclusion - we were kinda unprepared that day... but you are more than on a great start! Cant wait for the final presentation!!

i don't have much to say to you, Leah. You're pretty on point (as usual). You seem very relaxed and confident in your presentation in a way that we should all be striving for for our final projects. The only real criticism I have to offer is for you to possibly elaborate on some of your examples like the Bimbo.com "be better than Paris Hilton" comment you made, what exactly does that mean (to you, to the participants and to the audience)? Speculate on the expectations of those three groups and relate it more directly to your topic. Draw us in a bit more; make us want to look into this after you're done. We know you covered a lot, but we still want to feel like we didn't/couldn't get EVERYTHING from you. You know? OK, that's it.
